On the right you can obviously see that there is a briefcase but it’s not ONLY a briefcase! You can only win it at the WWE “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view.If you’re a kid, ask your mom or dad to watch the replay of it because even the way they do it, sometimes it can get a little bit inappropriate. But other than that it is a lot of fun to watch. My dad was very generous and bought it for me and my brother, to watch with him and a couple of my friends on Sunday night.
There are two briefcases. One represents Smackdown and the other represents Raw. They are the two WWE shows. Raw is on Monday on USA Network and Smackdown is on SyFy on Friday night. The briefcases are exactly the same thing except one is blue and the other is red.
A person can win “Money in the Bank” by grabbing the briefcase hanging high above the ring. But you have to get it by using a ladder, climbing it while all the other wrestlers are also trying to get up the ladder. Bodies go flying everywhere and it can be really funny sometimes when they do. My dad says sometimes the violence looks like “The Three Stooges.” I’m sure it doesn’t feel like that to the guys doing it. Once someone gets to the top of the ladder and can reach the briefcase, the y take it off the hook and if they do, they win.
When a wrestler wins the “Money in the Bank” match, they can cash in the briefcase for a shot at the WWE title any time, any place in the next year. They said that every one of the people who’ve ever won it, all nine of them, has cashed it in and become a WWE champion.
Dolph Ziggler, who goes by the nickname, “The Showoff” won the first “Money in the Bank” match by grabbing the briefcase away from another wrestler named, Christian. By winning, Dolph Ziggler is now going to try and win the heavyweight title from the champion Sheamus.
Sheamus had just had a match with a former Champion and bad guy, Alberto Del Rio. After the match, Sheamus was beaten up and Ziggler tried to cash in his briefcase, but it was too late. Sheamus got up and , brogue kicked him. That’s where he jumps up and kicks someone in the face. Ziggler caught it right in the face and that was that.
The other “Money in the Bank” match was Big Show, John Cena, Chris Jericho, The Miz and Kane.
The Miz returned after being out for a while and said he wanted in on the match. My favorite, John Cena won it after he hit The Big Show with the Briefcase at the top of the ladder. It was Cena’s first “Money in the Bank” match. When he won it I was so happy I was jumping up and down.
Lastly CM Punk battled Daniel Bryan. The special guest referee was Bryan’s old girlfriend, AJ. Bryan threw CM Punk into AJ and she got knocked out for a little while. My dad told me that afternoon in the car that whoever knocked out AJ was going to lose. He was right. When she did come back later she gave CM Punk a chair to hit Daniel Bryan with. Punk hit him, got a table and smashed him through it. CM Punk pinned Daniel Bryan for the win.
It was a great event and I had a great time watching it with my dad and brother and my friends.
